Questions and answers
Ordering and delivery
How is the price set?
Each city has its own ladder of delivered totals from 1 to 40 units. The total for your quantity is read off that ladder, in whole dollars, delivery included. A ZIP outside our city list is priced from the nearest city, and the page says which one.
What is the minimum order?
2 tons of stone, gravel, sand or soil, or 2 cubic yards of mulch or compost.
Tons or yards: which do I order?
Rock, sand and soil are sold by the ton; mulch and compost by the cubic yard. The calculator converts your measurements to the right unit at each material's weight.
Where does the truck dump?
Where you mark, as long as the truck can reach it. A dump truck needs about 12 feet of width and clear height. Tell us about gates, slopes, low wires and soft ground in the notes.
Can you split a load between two spots?
Often yes, on the same property. Ask in the delivery notes and we confirm by phone.
What if I ordered too much or too little?
Extra material stays with you. A second delivery is priced as a new order, so measure twice; the calculator rounds up to the next half unit for you.
Do you deliver on weekends?
It depends on the city and the yard. We confirm the delivery day by phone after the order.
